- Amelia Island presents the fisherman with a host of options for enjoying
the sport. If you are a surf, boat, or pier fisherman, you'll find a choice
of places to wet your line. Bass fishing is also available in the area
in both fresh and tidal waters. There is a public pier at Fort Clinch.
The old bridge at the south end of the island has also been converted
into a fishing pier.
