Egans Creek Greenway
The Greenway, 238 acres of environmentally sensitive land along Egans Creek between Atlantic Avenue and Sadler Road, is Fernandina Beach's newest park. Grant monies are expected to fund most of the cost of interpretive signs, trails, a multi-use pathway, possible boardwalks, bridges, and a proposed Nature Center.
The main entrance to the Greenway is behind the auditorium at the Atlantic Park Community Center, which is located on Atlantic Avenue near the beach. Stop by the Community Center and pick up a brochure with maps of the Greenway, and also a list of the many different types of birds you can expect to see when you visit the park.
