Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival
World-renowned Musicians, Historic Venues, Timeless Music, and Innovative Programs
Jacksonville Brass on opening day at the Community Concert in the Park

This annual celebration of timeless chamber music attracts acclaimed artists and music lovers to what was once a sleepy fishing village on an island the size of Manhattan. For three weeks in June, music literally spills onto the shady streets of Amelia Island, FL, from settings that range from the historic and the sacred to the elegant and the lighthearted.

Scheduled from May 29 through June 19, 2005, this fourth annual celebration of timeless chamber music attracts world-renowned artists to the once sleepy seafaring village of Fernandina Beach on Florida's northernmost barrier isle, Amelia Island. Today that Victorian charm provides the ideal backdrop for one of the country's finest music festivals. Come join in the fun and fanfare!

The Southeast Tourism Society has named the Festival to their Top 20 Events in June. Attend a concert in a 100-year-old saloon where dancers perform a sultry tango on the 40-foot long mahogany bar, listen to a string quartet in a Civil War barracks by candlelight, or don a tuxedo for an elegant gala at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. When not taking in a concert, tour the historic downtown designated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as one of the country's Top Ten "Distinctive Destinations." Watch the setting sun turn the Amelia River to gold -- all before curtain.

Come to where Victorian inns welcome weary travelers, church bells sound at noon, parades are spontaneous, and the centuries-old oaks are bearded with moss. Come to where the Atlantic Ocean sings its song and sunlight dances on white sand beaches.

Come to where music is the conversation of the day.
